1) Breckenridge
Around 80 miles outside of Denver, Breckenridge is the well-known perfect winter getaway. Though that’s hardly all it has to offer. With in full-force, now is the time to head up there to see the stunning fall colors. Be sure to check out the most up-to-date maps before heading out.
2) Aspen
If you’re looking for some spectacular fall colors, then you need to head on over to Aspen, Colorado. When the trees turn the amazing golden hue and the weather is perfect outdoor activities, you’ll want to stay for a while. Take a car ride around to see all the beauty, or a hike to get even closer to nature. You won’t want to miss out on seeing the colors this year.
3) Glenwood Springs
Glenwood Springs is a perfect weekend getaway. Not only can you see some of the most beautiful fall foliage in Colorado, but you can also spend some time at the hot springs. Where you can enjoy the cooler weather, the warm water, and the golden aspen forest all at the same time.
4) Gunnison and Crested Butte
With the cooler temperatures on the horizon, now is the best time to stop in for some stellar fall colors. The aspen trees are turning to gold, as well as reds and oranges. Making this a perfect trip. Get some hiking or even a bit of biking in while exploring all the beauty there is to offer.
5) Ouray
The picturesque destination of Ouray, Colorado is known for its fall colors. With so much to see, from jagged peaks and cascading waterfalls, it may be hard to decide where to head first. But we promise with such amazing colors and sights, you don’t want to miss out on checking Ouray out.
