Tobacco, Marijuana Smoking Not Allowed at Apartments for Rent in Colorado

As a follow up to my article on rent in Colorado I found this and wanted to link to it.

Josh Houchin, resident of a complex for rent in Colorado is sick from smelling the marijuana smoke from his neighbor’s apartment. He feels ill all the time. He has health problems that he fears will be made worse by the constant exposure to the medical marijuana prescribed to his neighbor. He worrys about how it will effect his children as well.

He was told by the manager that nothing could be done since his neighbor signed his lease before the smoking ban went into effect. There is not another apartment at the complex for rent in AZ that Houchin can move to according to https://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/28520899/detail.html.

His only recourse is to file a complaint with police. Then the manager can issue a cease and desist order which would force the neighbor to control the smoke.
